a small military camp or position at some distance from the main force, used esp. as a guard against surprise attack.

What & Why?

MerbOutpost is an event for those of us who can't go to the MerbCamp in San Diego but don't want to miss it. The MerbCamp will be live-webcasted to us which is the basic idea of the MerbOutpost. That allows us to get projector, wall, bunch of people (+ beer/RedBull) and watch the MerbCamp live. We'll also have a live link back to ask a few questions to San Diego, do some Merb hacking and just meet other Merbists.

Where to go & when?

MerbOutpost is directly connected to the MerbCamp and therefore it takes place on the same days as MerbCamp so 11^th - 12^th October. Because of the 8 hour time difference we will start at 18:00 and keep it open ended.

Our Fry-IT office will become the MerbOutpost, it should be big and friendly enough. It's situated in central London near the Waterloo station, check out the map London SE1 9PG.

There are already 29 Merbists attending the MerbOutpost and I'm afraid we do not have enough space for more.
